PEAS schools are run by Africans for Africans.
Our schools and country offices have always been fully staffed and led by Africans. 98% of our global staff are African. PEAS Board of Trustees is majority African and over 50% of our trustees are women.
We are proud of what we have achieved but are taking a deliberate approach to do more.
We do this by taking accountability for our high performance, challenging ourselves and each other to continually improve and support one another.
We employ 1,180 school staff including teachers, school leaders, and school support staff across our two school networks in Uganda and Zambia. In our country offices, we employ around 100 people in roles such as education, quality assurance, safeguarding, MEL, finance, people and culture, advocacy, and procurement.
In the UK, we have a small team focused on supporting the teams in Uganda, Zambia, and Ghana with everything from technical to fundraising support.
PEAS expect the highest level of conduct and accountability from those who work with us. Our global policies set out the common values and principles that PEAS staff and associates abide by.
