The Uganda Marathon is not just a race, but a 7-day immersive cultural adventure on the Equator. Described as “one of the best weeks of my life” by 1 out of 5 participants. It’s a unique event that brings people from around the world to rural Uganda to work with local projects, take part in a festival of Ugandan culture, and at the end of it all, run a 10K, half, or full marathon.

During the 7 days, you’ll stay in Masaka, a rural African town. You’ll join 180 other like-minded adventurers to see and learn what life is like – all the struggles and the joys – in rural Uganda. Your trip will be customised to ensure you can experience first-hand how the money you raise supports PEAS students to access a high-quality secondary education. You’ll see African dancing, the incredible culture, and you’ll run alongside 4,000 locals in a race like other.

Fundraising for PEAS

Minimum fundraising requirement of £1,000.

The Uganda Marathon is part of the Global Goal movement to make the world a better place. By taking part, you will be doing your bit by volunteering in, fundraising for and running the Uganda Marathon.

In Uganda, only one in four children enrol in secondary school and just 16% of those will finish. The money you raise will go directly to improving our PEAS schools. While you are in Uganda, you will have the opportunity to visit one of our schools.

By signing up to the Uganda Marathon with PEAS, you will receive a £50 discount on your all-inclusive package!

Please contact lucy.shearer@peas.org.uk if you would like to get involved.
