21 07 25

This report presents the endline evaluation of PEAS Zambia's five-year project (2019–2024), funded by the Sir Ernest Cassel Educational Trust Centenary Award. The project set out to increase girls' enrolment, retention, and learning outcomes across five PEAS secondary schools, and to contribute evidence to national education reform. Co-authored by PEAS and EM Associates Ltd, the evaluation draws on enrolment and exam data, student and teacher surveys, key informant interviews, and focus group discussions. It reports substantial gains in enrolment and retention, a reversed gender attainment gap, and lessons for PEAS' future programming.
