UK Business Development Coordinator The opportunity PEAS always has a lot to get done, and this year is no different. We have new roles in our Business Development team – the team responsible for finding new organisations and individuals who want to support PEAS, and building strong relationships with all of our partners. It’s a great place to learn about the moving parts of our school network and throw yourself into the international development sector. On Monday you could be writing a compelling proposal to a potential funder of teacher training, Tuesday producing an engaging video for an application, Wednesday seeking out an organisation who could partner on our next school in Zambia, and Thursday writing an engaging story about one of our students. And that still leaves Friday! We want to make the most of our talent, which means regular mentoring from a line manager, regular professional development sessions with the rest of the team and formal and informal feedback from across the organisation. We will structure your first year with us to give you a flavour of different parts of the Business Development world and develop a broad array of skills and experience. One project you will lead on is the development of the Business Development strategy for either Uganda or Zambia, including an extended trip to one of our country offices, to truly immerse yourself in the organisation. Am I right for this role? Whether you have experience in fundraising, flourished in placements at other charities or are looking to make the jump from the private sector – we’re hiring based on your skills, fit for the team and potential. We’ll be looking for individuals who have or are looking to develop the following skills: Strong organisation skills, able to manage a very varied workload A self-starter, willing to lead projects in collaboration with others in the team and take ownership of your own projects – start to finish – where that’s needed A creative flair, able to get people excited through writing, presentations and other forms of media High standards for your own work, including a keen attention to detail A personable character, with excellent communication skills Passion for PEAS’ mission Everyone who works in the PEAS UK team must be fluent in English and have a valid work permit to work in the UK. The Ts and Cs Hours: Full-time (part-time considered for exceptional candidates) Remuneration: £23,500 per annum (with expectation of increase after the first year) Based: London office (Borough) Length: Fixed term contract (2 years with view to becoming permanent) For more information on the role and how to apply: DOWNLOAD THE JOB PACK HERE The final closing date for applications is WEDNESDAY 11th JULY 2018.
