Jacqueline Mwaba is the regional manager of Northern Province. Based in Kasama, she has been tasked with overseeing the progress of our new schools, which are developing through a landmark agreement with the Ministry of General Education. Her work is challenging, and varied, as she works both to improve the quality of schools that have been built, and oversee the process of expanding our network. Fortunately for PEAS, Jacqueline is a highly qualified, and widely experienced individual, who has both the capacity and willingness to thrive in such a challenging environment.
Jacqueline has two Master’s degrees, in education management and peace and conflict studies, and has worked in a variety of non-governmental organisations, focussing on humanitarian aid, and the educational and economic empowerment of women. She brought together her understanding of these subject areas in her published dissertation, discussing the challenges of educational access for refugees in Meheba camp.
Jacqueline enjoys reading, travelling and gardening, and scuba diving.!
