Education Specialist x 2, Volunteer (expenses covered), Central/Western Uganda
We’re currently recruiting for two Education Specialists (one year fixed-term contract) to help support our regional offices in Central and Western Uganda. Each regional office supports a cluster of 6-8 schools within the wider PEAS network and the role of each Education Specialist is to help support the regional team to improve teaching, learning and education quality within the cluster schools. This will be achieved through the implementation of various new programme initiatives designed at PEAS secretariat, in addition to regular school inspections, school monitoring visits, community engagement work and supporting with specific initiatives under our institutional grants.
The successful candidate for either of these exciting roles will be a qualified teacher with teaching experience, who has the ability to quickly become a key member of a busy, highly motivated but small team. The ideal fit for these positions are also individuals who are flexible, adaptable, with high cultural awareness. It is also desirable to have experience of working in a low income country.
