PEAS is currently seeking to appoint up to four new trustees to join its current board of six existing trustees. The board of PEAS sets the strategic direction of the charity and ensures that the organisation is being run effectively and efficiently to maximise the impact for children in Africa. Trustees are also expected to help grow the charity’s income base. We are actively looking to increase the diversity of the board and will welcome applications from a range of backgrounds. Communications team intern (voluntary/part-time)
This exciting volunteer internship opportunity has arisen within the Communications Team. As a small, but rapidly growing charity, building the PEAS brand and cementing PEAS as thought-leader is the fields of education and international development becomes more important. We are now looking for a confident, hard-working and determined individual to help support our ambitious communications goals. Working closely with the Communications Manager, the intern will help to identify media and speaking opportunities. The candidate will also help to manage all PEAS communications channels – including our Facebook and Twitter pages, in addition to the updating the website and newsletter. Fundraising team intern (voluntary/part-time)
PEAS' fundraising income targets are ambitious and the role of committed interns is an essential part of the strategy in achieving these goals. We are now looking for a motivated and diligent Fundraising Research Intern to work closely with the Trusts and Foundations Manager and Major Giving Manager, to provide research on new prospects in order to develop a strong income pipeline and long term relationships. This role would suit someone with an interest in research, fundraising and international development, who would like to gain experience of prospecting and donor solicitation. An exciting Grants Manager position has arisen in PEAS Uganda. This critical position will sit across the wider PEAS team, involving the project management of both programmatic and operational grants. The post-holder will be responsible for overseeing the effective implementation of secured grants and will also support generation of new grants. The successful applicant will also work closely with different PEAS departments (particularly the global fundraising, education and M&E departments) in developing new applications, overseeing their effective implementation, and in keeping on top of all reporting requirements.
