Kikandwa, Mubende District, Uganda
Opened in February 2008

We worked with architects in the UK and Uganda to develop the site plan and designs for the school, which has 7 classrooms, a library (paid for by UK artist, Tracey Emin), a laboratory, 2 boarding houses, modern sanitary facilities and an administration block.
PEAS worked in partnership with the New Forests Company in Uganda to build the school, with each party providing half the total cost of its development.
The school is led by a local Director of Finance and Development and has 215 students, both day and boarding. The students love the library as it provides a quiet, comfortable place for them to work, plus a bank of computers where they can do research to aid their studies. Meet Jennifer, Madahi, Richard and Noelynn, 4 students who provide an insight as to what it is like to study at Forest High.
