Kiira View Secondary School

A new school opened in 2009 in Butagaya, Jinja district, Uganda

The fourth PEAS school  - Kiira View Secondary School - opened in February 2009 in a rural area of Jinja district in Uganda. The school serves the community of Butagaya.

This school has been developed as a result of our exciting new partnership with  the COINS foundation. You can find out more about the COINS foundation by visiting our partners page.

The site for the school overlooks the river Nile, near it's source Lake Victoria. 'Kiira' is the name of the river in the local language.

The school opened with classrooms, a library and laboratory, an administration block, a dormitory and quality sanitary facilities.
